The development approval was obtained with a proposal of 9 storeys residential building over a part basement which enjoys a high level of public amenity, being located close to a range of communal services, institutions, public transport, and shopping strips. The proposal provides for a net increase of 67 dwellings on the subject site and delivers housing in the form of one and two-bedroom apartments. In doing so it delivers on housing, urban consolidation and infrastructure policy objectives by increasing the density and diversifying the housing stock in the municipality and within the eastern region of Melbourne.
